I’m in the German GLAMOUR of 16 September, probably not for sale anymore though (I’m just a bit late with telling you this). The picture’s already from September 2007 and probably the worst I ever took of myself, but they wanted it because of my yellow tights, which are described as a ’trend’ right now, as you can see. I kinda really hate that word though.

Bottom picture, with all the plants. You’d probably recognize my dog better than me.

And of course I’m not Swedish either, but I know why they got it wrong. GLAMOUR found the picture at Stockholm Streetstyle first, of which the editor directed them to me. I did give them my address (which of course stated ‘The Netherlands’), but I guess they didn’t notice. Or they possibly just wanted an entry from Stockholm. Too bad they called me a ‘Fashionista’ too. I don’t really like ‘fashion’, I hate trends. What I love is style.
Some kind of translation: “Don’t use too many colors when you wear corlorful tights. This fashionista from Sweden truely does it the right way.”

Don’t get this all too wrong by the way, I appreciate the fact they wanted to feature me, but, you know.
well yeah, i was quite irritated when i saw your picture in glamour, with “stockholm” entiteld…
First congratulations to the feature. Now I know why I thought that this pic was familiar to me. I completely understand you, if you’re working in a magazine, you should do a good research and don’t get the facts wrong.
Anyway enjoy your feature!
CONGRATS!! sorry they messed it up a bit.
Oh, that’s really cool. But too bad they didn’t mention you’re from a boring town. That would’ve been so much cooler. I don’t like it either when people are describing me as a person who is ‘born and raised in Amsterdam’.
Nice pose btw…hahahahahahahahahaha.
nevertheless this look with the yellow tights is pretty stylish. don’t worry bout the picture, i like it anyways. :-)
haha, they wrote, that you are a swedish fashionista.
Thanks.
@bigna: Yes, that’s what I said ;)
I thought the pic was familiar too. And I was convinced I know the shoes. Now I know why. So congrats on that!
I think you could e-mail them that you’re not from Stockholm just to let them know their research was not okay.
What an honor, would be good if they could get it right though.
seriously cool to be in a fashion magazine, claim to fame! i can see how you were a bit iffy though, it’s a bit like when people will send you an email saying ‘i loooove your blog’ but don’t even type your name!
Fashion is fashion, style is style. You got style! (and yes, I do love Gwen Stefani)
regardless, its funny
