Frosted

When we talk about nailpolish, does frosted mean it’s kind of metallic? Because I don’t want to mistakenly buy expensive nailpolish and find out it’s glittery or such.

Yes, ”frosted” means exactly what you said..but i think that some colours for example black or satin blue, look more stylish if the nail polish is frosted.
btw,i really loved your site and congratulations for your work and style!do you attend a univercity or sth like this for fashion design?

i’m thinking “yes” – because the same is true with lipstick – frosted means an almost irredescent sheen

Yes, kind of silver-hued, and shimmery.

  4. Depending on the look you’re going for, some colors may look fantastic frosted! A total 80s flashback would be frosted pale-pink (in both, lipsticks and nail polishes). I think it still looks cheesy though.

I’m sure it won’t be long till Karl tries to bring it back though! ;)

    Thanks for the help!

@mel: And thanks for your compliments. No, I don’t, I tried to enter Fashion Design, but they told me I was too young. I’m starting some art course next week, but it’s only on Saturdays. At the moment, I think I will go for Photography next year, which I am more passionate about than Fashion Design.

Ja, volgens mij betekend ‘frosted’ een soort van metallic.

Wat ga je allemaal doen op die kunstcursus? Zit daar ook iets van mode bij of niet?
