Sofia from Soitu.es and I worked together a bit for the article she was writing about the collaboration between H&M and Matthew Williamson, and I wanted to let you know it’s online now. You can find the article HERE, though I also made a little translation as it’s in Spanish.

Renée Sturme – fashionfillers – is seventeen years old and lives in a little village in the south of The Netherlands. A couple of clothing stores, concerts, tiny expositions… In short, not that much inspiration. So Renée has to own a congenital feeling of how to mix clothes, and find encouragement in music, photography and crafts. Not liking fashion, but loving style. She told us this about the collection:
“I think Matthew did a great job. The collection looks like high-end clothing, and I can still see the H&M-feeling in it as well. Bold colors and prints fit both their worlds I guess. I didn’t like previous collaborations of H&M, and I’m not thrilled about every piece, but this one definitely works.
To be honest it’s even kinda hard to choose just one favorite. I really like the biker jacket, though I usually don’t even like brown, and the grey jumpsuit and printed ruffle dresses are amazing too. The jacket will probably work with about anything, and I think the jumpsuit and dresses would look the best on their own, with just a pair of grey platform heels and an oversized bag.”
Its in spanish! thats great!, ES GENIAL!
i just clicked home the clutch bag from his collection, now i just hope it look as stunning in reality as it does on picture :)
[…] Camilla Belle Web | Your Source for Camilla Belle placed an observative post today on Matthew for H&MHere’s a quick excerptNot liking fashion, but loving style. She told us this about the collection: […]
i love h&m. they have the best basics and the most affordable prices. you said it well in the interview
I like alot of peices from this collection: the jumpsuit, the long print and the fuxia silk dresses, the leather jacket, but the thing I totally fell in love with, is the studded black patent belt!
I totally agree with you on the clothes still have H&M feeling.
Did you buy something from the Matthew for H&M collection?
@rain: No, I only liked the most expensive pieces, which I of course don’t have the money for (€200-€300).
