I’m not really into gossiping about ‘famous’ people, but I need to say a few things now. I really do get models need to be thin, but do they need to be like Snejana Onopka and similar looking girls? Are you going to call Gemma Ward fat for looking a bit more healthy last season? Do you think she is? It seems people do think so.
Gemma didn’t got any runway show for Spring 2009. It seems the designers would rather have skeletons.

Well, I see Sasha Pivovarova also gained a few healthy pounds this season (Spring 2009 shows). Will she get any shows for Fall 2009? We’ll just keep wondering if she will.
I read somewhere that she retired before the season started to pursue acting. I think she’ll be in an upcoming movie actually.
sasha is looking fabulous.. very healthy and glowing this season!!! in comparison to all the other very very thin models gemma ward looked a bit different last season but i think fashion is embracing it more now
Gemma might be considered old. Snejana is quite new compared to Gemma. So that’s why, I think.
But I prefer looking at girls with lovely CURVES. :) No bones, please!
Actually, Gemma is taking some time off from modeling to pursue personal things.. I’m glad she did, because modeling is so stressful, especially on young girls like her..
But you’re absolutely right about the thin issue. They’re simply too skinny..

hey, i would really think that you should get your facts right, because gemma took a break through september. she’s actually somewhere in egypt & nepal right now doing charity work.
nevertheless, this is how the industry is right now and action seems to be taken but nothing definite can happen. ali and coco rocha have stepped up, and girls like lara stone with breasts from C to E cups have appeared. we can only hope that the industry slowly takes note of this trend. its all about trends, and clothes fall better on bodies that are like hangers.
