Shops in Amsterdam

Some of you have asked me about nice shops in Amsterdam, so here they are.

VINTAGE

You can download and print this map of twelve vintage shops in our capital. A few examples:

Laura Dols
Adorable American vintage clothing and accessories. Read: petticoats, dolly dresses and embroided purses. Not the cheapest though, but nice.

Episode & Zipper
Pretty cheap and mostly 70’s, 80’s & 90’s vintage. Very ‘Dutch’, quite sporty and basic, not vintage in the American way. Not my favorite, but maybe your’s.

Addresses can be found in the map. I’d also advise you to check out the Waterlooplein market, at which you can find second-hand clothing and shoes.

NEW

The famous Nine Streets, with tiny boutiques (and also vintage shops). Numbers five to eight in the map are located in these streets, to give you an idea where to walk to. I think you should better not go shopping in the main street where all the high street labels are, because than you could also just stay at home of course.

If you want to drool over €500 designer shoes, you should really check out Shoebaloo, addresses can be found here.
