Some time ago I got extremely inspired by some girl’s bleached pants, and partly bleached five pieces of clothing the same eve. One problem: Only at one of the five garments the bleach made the fabric white, the others turned completely orange. I used thick bleach.
So the first top is the only one that worked out well. The second one is a T-shirt of which I cut the sleeves and bottom part off and cut the middle to get myself a vest. It truly looks like fire, doesn’t it?

A top which I already dyed red once, and now slightly bleached the entire garment and entirely bleached some spots. Still don’t like it though. The tights were also just to try out.

Then I noticed it’s just like looking at clouds, you can see so many figures in it. Do you see the lady in the middle, wearing a Lanvin puffy dress, balancing on a skull, with bee-stings on top of her head, being torn to her husband at the left and being torn by her three-year-old to the right? Or do I just have too much fantasy? Both I guess.

These shorts are old ones I found back some time ago, of which I now cut the legs off. These are now at my “too ugly that it’s beautiful”- list.

Personally, I can totally see the woman and her family! But it also looks kind of like the woman has antennae?! Also, awesome acid wash job. I have been wanting to try this for a long time, just haven’t found the right clothing to try it on.
i see her! :) its never bad to have too much imagination
Cool work, I can see things in the dye too, funky.
Vreemd. Maar ook wel weer best cool ;)
i see it!
i think they turned out super cool – even if they aren’t exactly what you hoped for – wear them!
Deerdearest: Was zwart katoen ;) Al is spijker uiteraard ook katoen.
Such an easy DIY to do…. was gonna try this with jeans but I think a dress might be more unexpected…
Kleding bleken is echt té easy.
Did you just pour the bleach all over the vest at the top?
I love the look of it, I want to do this..
Where was the original vest from?
I kind of just threw it all over the vest and put some bleach in my hands (with gloves on of course) and just wiped it over the fabric at the spots where I wanted it to be. I don’t know where the vest’s exactly from, it’s second-hand and pretty old.
Thanks for the response!
I really like the idea and think i’ll try it myself, just need to find a nice vest now..and hope it turns out like this, I like the orange, but would prefer it being white how yours is.
Ja, ik zie het! Echt leuk.
