Cheap&Chic shopping in Amsterdam

This week I’ve been to Amsterdam by train. It took me 2 hours to get there, but it was worth it. For the first time in my life I went to the Waterloopplein. Every monday till saturday there’s a quite big flea market. The people there sell beautiful vintage shoes, clothes, jewellery and many metal things like fabulous gold photo frames and pots. There are also some stands that sell new jewellery, bags and stuff like that. I bought myself some new stuff: a ‘maria’-necklace, new earrings with hearts on it and a very large checked red-white scarf. Then I bought a secondhand necklace with white big beads for only €1! Finally I bought a pair of Antonio Paolo vintage peeptoes with slingback. I bought them thinking they were black/dark grey, but actually they are very very dark blue. I think that’s only better, because I have too much black pumps. They have an amazing fit and my red toenails look awesome with them. I also wanted to go to the Albert Cuyp market, but I didn’t had enough time..
Next to the Waterloopplein is a big vintage store called Episode. I thought I was in heaven! Amazing leggings, T-shirts, jackets, sunglasses, bags, skirts, everything was amazing. I bought myself a legging with a cute print, an oversized top and a fabulous eighties jacket. For only €29. My boyfriend bought me amazing sunglasses at Episode, they were new, not vintage, but have a fabulous vintagelook.
After this vintage-heaven we had a big search for more shops like these, to the Nine Streets, but by the time we got there it was already closing-time. Maybe that’s a good thing, otherwise I would spend more money.
We searched for an Italian restaurant and found a cute little place. My tortellini was served by a real Italian and tasted yummie. After our break we went searching for Hotel Arena, where Natasha Bedingfield was going to perform. I had won tickets, what was the actual reason for me to go to Amsterdam. It was a great ending of the day, she sung really good. ‘Wild Horses’, my favorite song came by and I got a little bit emotional, because it means much to me. At the end girls were all ripping Natasha Bedingfield posters of the wall. However, you got them for free when you left, as many as you wanted. That was quite a laugh. After Natasha Bedingfield, back to my boyfriend’s place (2 hours in the train, again). We were home at 24:00 and ate delicious Ben&Jerry’s chocolate icecream. A great day!
