One of the reasons Fayette and I wanted to go to Rotterdam, was because of the Primark-store, which opened it’s doors not too long ago.
We already were a tiny bit scared, and it seemed to be quite as expected. It’s actually just this huge supermarket, of clothing and accessories. With girls and mom’s with lots of annoying children everywhere, and husbands annoyingly waiting on their wives. We both had seen some cool stuff in several fashion magazines, but couldn’t really see anything back, and came to the conclusion Primark’s a weak decoction of the H&M-collection of two seasons ago. Besides a couple of bags and shoes, it’s not as great as the Dutch fashion media is telling us.
This is what we both did like, and did purchase: A straw bag for only €7 (will last a couple of weeks, but great price) and a pair of fuchsia wedges for €20 (which we liked more in black, but there was only one huge size left). I don’t have a clue wether I’m going to wear the wedges, as I don’t like pink, but they’re great to ‘just look at’ as well.

Ah, now I know why you went to Rotterdam!
The picture with the basket is your best one of your whole blog.
I LOVE the light. Did you really took that one yourself?
The second is a bit overexposed. :P
Dankje! Oui. De eerste is eigenlijk meer underexposed dan dat de tweede overexposed is ;)
aw, I love the shoes ! I wish there was a Primark in Paris…
I live in Rotterdam and sometimes i walk through the Primark. I realy don’t like anything on that store. only the tights. i did not seen any folder but my advise is not to go there, it’s not what you’re expecting.
primark is a hovel. i’ve been to like 8 of them in the UK and it’s all trash – i don’t get who buys there and why they do. the quality is really bad. everything is made in china but sold twice or thrice as much as if you buy them in china, wtf???
Lovely pics, I love the basket and the sandals as well, kisses from BCN
I also saw a big difference between the things in UK’s Primark stores and what is shown on Polish fashion websites (I’m from Poland). The clothes in the photos were great but I could only find extremely casual things in stores. I was really disappointed because there are no Primark stores in Poland and going to UK is not an everyday thing for me ;) Curiously, the most interesting parts of the Primark collections are available on a polish e-bay-like site allegro. They are more expensive, but I buy them sometimes… I have seen quite a lot of the vintage style so I couldn’t help spending some money on it.
regards ;)
Beautiful bag and heels, they both just scream “spring!”
