About me
I made this blog for everyone who’s interested in fashion and for myself, as a personal style diary. I really appreciate your comments and of course I will reply to them. There can be some mistakes in my articles, as I’m not an English student or anything. I’m a 17 year old Dutch ‘fashionista’ (though I must say I hate that word) and I’m very sure about becoming a fashion designer.
I live in a boring, old, 3000-people village in the south of The Netherlands with my dad and some pets. There’s nothing to do around here except a few places where you can have dinner. Seriously, not even one clothing store or thrift shop. I can’t wait to move to a large city and my biggest dream and passion is moving to New York. I’ve been there once, and immediately wanted to go back even before my plane had landed at European grounds again. I’ll probably get a room of my own next schoolyear, in Arnhem, Utrecht or Amsterdam, because of my upcoming study, Fashion Design.
One of my bad habits is the fact I spend every euro I get/earn, because I love shopping on eBay, in vintage stores, overseas webshops, wherever and whenever I can. Luckily my grandmother was a very stylish woman in her old days, so sometimes I even shop her closet. At least it’s free, right? Still, a lot of my clothes are from H&M, but that’s just because it’s the only ‘nice’ store in a normal ’bus-travel-limit’. Of course I can find a lot more beautiful and unique stuff in Amsterdam, but it takes me 5 hours on a day just for travelling, which I don’t really mind actually as I love travelling, but then again the train’s so expensive. Too bad!
In school people always stare and look silly at me, because my clothing style is different than the rest. I just don’t care anymore. Just let ‘m stare, I’ll be out of this non-exiting place in a few years anyway. Every one here wears a T-shirt and jeans day by day, nothing else. Life is quite boring here, it’s a wonder I can keep this blog.
