Eight things

april 20, 2008

I was tagged by Annah and Selina to do the Eight Things tagging-thing, so here are my answers.

8 Things I am Passionate About
1. Fashion (Gosh, didn’t expect thát did you?)
2. Fashion design (Does that count as a second answer?)
3. Vintage
4. The internet
5. Writing to you/blogging
6. Notebooks (Stole that answer from Annah actually, but I’ve just always been ‘passionate’ about them.)
7. My Persian cat Romeo
8. NYC! NYC! NYC! (Yellow cabs/subway/Central Park/etc.)

8 Things I Want To Do Before I Die
1. Move to New York City
2. Jump out of a plane (How original)
3. Become a well-known fashion designer
4. Having Chloe Sevigny wearing one of my designs
5. Have dinner with George Clooney
6. Go out with Jon Bon Jovi
7. Wake up with John Legend
8. Sleep in a $10.000 a night suite in NYC for a month (Sponsors? Anyone?)

8 Things I Say Often
1. Yes (When my dad asks me something for the first time)
2. YES! (Second-time)
3. Yeh-hes! (Third time, etc.)
4. Jomy-jomy, Jomy-jomy
5. Jomy-jo macht Kinder froh, und Erwachsenen eben so (From the Haribo-candy commercial/song)
6. Jomy-jomy, Jomy-jomy
7. Jom-Joh!
8. Jomy-jomy, Jomy-jomy

Yes, I say/sing the Jomy-jo-things all the time. Please don’t think I’m some kind of maniac, my cat (Romeo = ‘Jomy-jo’) is just really funny and then I need to act funny too, haha. You should really meet my cat. Then you’ll know what I mean. This is probably a side of me you didn’t know about yet? Haha.

8 Books I Have Read Lately
1-8. I don’t read books actually, just fashion mag’s. Or do ELLE, Vogue, Grazia and CODE count? I guess not.

8 Songs I Could Listen To Over and Over
I just picked out a few, I’ll probably forget some I like even more. No, I’m not an electro girl or something, I like songs that put you in a booty-shaking-mood. Remixes that will be played in a (urban) discotheque. Did I say that correctly? Haha. I just like nice beats and non-white singers/performers.

1. Burning up (reggaeton remix) - R. Kelly
2. Superfly Sister - Michael Jackson
3. Thriller - Michael Jackson
4. Can’t Hold Us Down - Christina Aguilera
5. Whoa - Lil’ Kim
6. Obsession (reggaeton remix) - Aventura
7. Lighters Up - Lil’ Kim
8. I don’t like reggae - Bob Marley (Though I believe that’s the wrong title.)

Thinking Blogger Award

maart 24, 2008

So, I recieved the Thinking Blogger Award, of my fellow Dutch blogger Lana of Smellslikelonpardonis. Of course it’s an honour to recieve an award, so I want to thank you for nominating me!

I got these three questions to answer:

1. What is the story behind the name of your blog and nickname?

Actually, I don’t really have a story behind my blog’s name. I justed wanted to start a blog of my own, so of course needed to come up with a name. I made a list of all kind of names I came up with and liked, and started to blot out the ones that I didn’t like that much. I wanted a name that wasn’t too simple and boring, like ‘Fashionlover‘ or anything like that, but on the other side I really did want a name which people would remember, a name that wouldn’t be that hard so people would forget about it. And I would want people to know where my blog’s about, when only knowing the name. That’s why I chose for FashionFillers. You can immediately see it has to do with fashion, and because of the double F it’s easy to remember. FashionFillers is about ‘filling up the fashion’ with my own sense of style, not about portraying fashion.

2. What has been your best and worst blogging experience?

I have a lot of great experiences in blogging. First of all, I really love love love to get all those wonderful comments! It was quite hard that no one at home liked/likes my style, and everyone thinks I’m some kind of dress-up clothing weirdo - maybe even a clown or anything like that. Yes, that’s a good description I think, that most people want to put me in the circus. Anyway, because of that, I appreciate your comments that much.

And of course, it’s so great to get the oppertunity to do an interview - for example with N.E.E.T. - to know that there are people interested in you, and by that getting more and more readers by the day.

I don’t really have worse blogging experiences actually. I’m happy about the fact that I don’t get any bad comments. Though it wasn’t really nice in the first few months that I didn’t get comments or stuff, because I was new in the blogosphere, and nobody knew about me, but that’s just the way it goes.

3. What do you think / want to happen to your blog in 2008?

Getting more readers and comments! Nothing else actually, though I would love to be feautured in more mag’s and get ‘discovered’ by some people. I appreciate every one of you reading my blog!

I will nominate 5 others by tomorrow ;)
