Stella McCartney’s screening for The Party

juni 19, 2008

“Less than 24 hours after walking the red carpet with pal Kate Moss at the Costume Institute gala on Monday night, Stella McCartney was on the opposite side of the country, hosting a cocktail and special screening of the Peter Sellers classic The Party at her West Hollywood boutique. The Tuesday-night garden party brought out a crowd that included Nicole Richie, Christian Louboutin, China Chow, Frankie Rayder, and Amber Valletta. “It’s great to be back in L.A.,” said McCartney. “I never have to pack much, because luckily I have the store.” The consummate hostess made sure her tables were stocked with every treat imaginable, from Mentos to Marlboros, the latter courtesy of an old-fashioned cigarette girl. While many guests were thrilled with the mini grilled cheeses, others were happy just to catch up. “I met Stella when we were five or six and they came to stay with us,” recalled Rashida Jones. “They were like the foreign fun, and we loved it.” Charlize Theron added, “She’s just such a lovely lady. We knew we were going have a good time.” - Victoria Namkung @ Style.com

My favorites looks.

Amber Valletta and Christian McCaw. - Joel Madden and Nicole Richie.

Rosanna Arquette. - China Chow.

Anita Briem and Emmanuelle Chriqui. - Angie Harmon and Brett Ratner.

Those shoes in all of the below pics, gorgeous. Especially the ones in the third shot.

Those fringes on the dress/skirt, beautiful!

Compositions made by me. Did I somewhere hear this is one of the Olsen’s labels or is that incorrect?

Mango Outlet

juni 14, 2008

Personally I think non-discounted Mango is quite expensive, but the things in their outlet áre affordable. These are my favorites.

€79,90 > €40,95 - €79,90 > €40,95

€69,90 > €25,95 - €79,90 > €30,95

€99,90 > €40,95 (True love! Too bad of the fuschia ribbon though.) - €59,90 > €18,95

The Costume Institutes - Part four

juni 7, 2008

My favorite looks of the eve.

Eli Manning with Abby McGrew, in J. Mendel. - Kate Moss, in Stella McCartney (love the simplicity and color of the dress!) and Fred Leighton jewels, with Stella McCartney, in her own design and Fred Leighton jewels.

Karl Lagerfeld. - Kate Bosworth, in vintage Chanel Haute Couture and Pierre Hardy shoes with Chanel Fine Jewelry. I absolutely love the dress, but I do think the turquoise eyeshadow really is too much.

Caroline Trentini, in vintage Thierry Mugler and Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry. - Diane von Furstenberg, in her own design, with Barry Diller.

Marc and Rachel

juni 1, 2008

Shot by Altamira NYC. MJ looks absolutely great, but personally I do think Rachel Zoe looks like a Hollywood-heroinehooker. Sorry, but that just was my first impression, no hate comments please.

The Costume Institutes - Part three

mei 24, 2008

More of my favorites of the party.

Byrdie Bell, in Bally and David Yurman jewels, with Brian Atwood. - Eugenia Silva, in Armani Privé.

Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce with Scarlett Johansson, in Dolce & Gabbana and Fred Leighton jewels. - Georgina Chapman, in Marchesa and Bulgari jewels; Dita Von Teese, in Marchesa and a Swarovski clutch; and Keren Craig, in Marchesa.

Coco Brandolini (love that dress!) and Alberta Ferretti, both in dresses by the designer. Ferretti wears Chopard jewels. - Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie.

London Fashion Week Fall 2008 - Allegra Hicks

mei 14, 2008

The outfits below are only my picks, only my favorites, it’s not an on-the-whole-look of the complete collection. Click the designer for the full collection.

Allegra Hicks: The styling’s great, but the rest isn’t THAT nice. She tried, but not enough, most of the looks turned out a bit too boring. I do like these 4.

The Costume Institutes - Part two

More favorite looks of the eve.

Michelle Trachtenberg, in a vintage skirt and top with Kwiat diamonds and a Cesare Paciotti clutch. I would normally think this is too trashy, but somehow it just really suits her. Can only be worn by brunettes in my opinion, it would cheap on blondes. - Christina Ricci, in Givenchy Haute Couture and Bulgari jewels.

Jessica Stam, in Proenza Schouler and Jimmy Choo shoes. - Kristin Davis, in Michael Kors and Fred Leighton jewels.

Barneys New York’s Julie Gilhart, in Christopher Kane, with Rogan Gregory. - Claudia Schiffer, in Valentino Haute Couture and Fred Leighton jewels, with Valentino Garavani.

Diane von Furstenberg

mei 9, 2008

I love this likey-likey maxi-dress! It’s quite simple, but still beautiful. The colors are matched great. And though I’m still not able to buy it of course, it is ‘only’ $264.

The Costume Institutes - Part one

“The select few who are lucky enough to snag an invite to the annual Costume Institute gala (a.k.a. the Oscars of the East) are encouraged, nay, obliged, to push the sartorial envelope. And with this year’s “Superheroes” theme—one that’s brimming with caped possibility—the task appeared almost too easy. But as it turned out, many of the glitterati making their way up the steps of New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art had circumvented the theme and opted for glamour served straight up. Fortunately for the ever-growing group of stylewatchers who monitor this event with the intensity of a comic-book nerd on the trail of a first-run copy of Spider-Man, others embraced the night’s motif.” - Evelyn Crowley @ Style.com

These are my favorite looks of the evening.

Bee Shaffer, in Nina Ricci with Fred Leighton jewels. - Joy Bryant, in Emilio Pucci, with Matthew Williamson.

Coco Rocha, in Emilio Pucci (I’m so jealous of her dress!) and Van Cleef & Arpels jewels, with Anja Rubik, in Emilio Pucci. - Emily Mortimer.

Natasha Poly, in Phi, with designer Andreas Melbostad. - Lou Doillon and Consuelo Castiglioni, both in Marni.

Chloé - Summer 2008
