Red leather suitcase

juni 15, 2008

After wanting a giant red leather suitcase for about 2 years, I finally found one! And even for free (OK, I got it for free with 15 bags, haha). And otherwise it would have costed me only €0,50 anyway. I actually wanted to buy all of them, about 10, but I guess I don’t have enough space to store them.

At least now I can travel with proud, proud of my ‘new’ suitcase, not that ugly outdoor kind-of-green-thing-made-of-canvas my grandmother bought for me last year. Sorry, it’s just really ugly. And did you now this red beauty has even been to Indonesia? How cool!

Also bought this cute tiny pictureframe for €0,20. I just can’t NOT buy anything old that has to do with cats. I even collect small porcelain cats.

In need of the second one!

So want the red one.

A married couple

juni 7, 2008

This is the purse I told you about, the one I asked to marry me. I noticed it a work, and told myself I couldn’t buy it, because I already own too many, but after two days of non-stop thinking about this vintage cutie I took it home and gave it a place where it can live in joy. To me this really is the most gorgeous bag ever, a Miu Miu couldn’t even compete with it.

Grandma outfit

mei 14, 2008

Yes indeed, this outfit is almost completely from my grandmother. Not grandma-style though, but a grandma outfit. This is Tuesday’s one by the way.

I actually believe this is my cheapest outfit ever. I only had to pay for the shades, €5,90, the vintage earrings, about €2, and the shoe-bow (at bag) which was about €0,10. OK, and the €0,50 bag, haha. So in total about €8,50?

Got this genuine leather bag at a flea market last Monday. My bf didn’t like it, but I did. Well, for €0,50, who wouldn’t?

These flat gladiators originally were my grandma’s, got them last year already, but totally forgot about them. If you’re standing in my place I guess it’s not hard to forget about some shoes, with a collection of 66 pairs.

Sailor tee: Second-hand, my grandma’s
Pants turned into skirt: Customized second-hand, my grandma’s
Bag: Flea market
Gladiators: Second-hand, my grandma’s
Shoe-bow at bag: Thrifted
Shades: H&M
Earrings: Vintage, eBay

Maastricht

mei 6, 2008

Last Friday, my aunt from Austria surprised me by showing up on my birthday. I hadn’t seen her for 1,5 years, though she wanted to come every day she had a slight amount of time to, but every time something came in between. She’s just a really busy woman, running a famous multiple times awarded campingsite in the hills of Austria. She suggested to go to Maastricht the day after, Saturday, with me and her friend who also came with her.

We didn’t really shop in the way I would call it, but I did get myself a beautiful floral hippie-inspired dress at Zara.

At H&M I tried to find 3 different things I desperately want - so need - but couldn’t find either one of them. The pastel peachy fringes 20’s dress, the short gold-buttoned marine jacket and the multicolored ethnic maxi-dress were all sold out. I so want them! I did found three other things, but my aunt didn’t like them so didn’t want to pay for them, haha. She just doesn’t get why I like wide floral hippie dresses and other ‘weird’ stuff. After our sightseeing- and shoppingtour we went off to the Vrijhof to find a spot to get a drink in the beautiful sun.

I wore something quite simple that day, as I wasn’t into the mood to constantly get judged by my looks. Not by people walking by, but by my aunt. Though I felt really boring in this and will wear something more my thing the next time.

In the afternoon a package from the U.S.A. showed up and I was really wondering if I ordered something which I forgot about. But no, it wasn’t like that. I recieved this beautiful taupe bag from one of my oh-so kind readers! I did really worry about the high shipping costs, but in a letter she told me it was free for her, as her mother worked at the post office. Luckily. Thank you so much, (Ka)rina! The purse’s gorgeous and I’m jealous about you living in NYC, haha. I immediately changed it for the other purse I actually wanted to use that day!

As I am an over-the-top/accessories-addict, I just felt like adding two vintage brooches, and so did.

Skirt: Self-made, my design
Top: H&M
Purse, brooches: Vintage
Earrings: Swarovski
Belt: Hallhuber
Tights: Hema
Flats: Flash

Since the first time this ad popped up between the runway shots, I totally fell in love with it. I mean, gosh, THAT BAG! And Coco Rocha. And the dress.

Vintage eBay wannahave

april 14, 2008

It’s fake, yes, but so cute too.

Lamé Tights

april 4, 2008

After wanting these so badly for more than half a year, but didn’t want to pay €46 just for tights (American Apparel), I finally found some Topshop ones on eBay. Including shipping for about €12. They are a bit too wide (I got a size UK12, because of my legs), but I can probably change that myself.

I wore them with a pair of socks, because they’re also a bit wide at my ankles (which is always like that with tights, why can’t they just make them a bit smaller there?).

Also customized this vintage bag, that looked quite boring at first, but I put some thrifted (and broken) clip earrings on top of it, plus a shoe bow.

Dress, bag: Customized vintage
Cardigan, socks: H&M
Tights: Topshop
Scarf: Vintage
Boots: Unisa
Necklace: ?

Miu Miu handbag

april 1, 2008

Kris from Krisatomic got herself a new handbag. A Miu Miu one to be more precise. Can’t she let me carry it around once in a while too? Please, let me.

I saw exactly the same cute little (fake) Chanel purse in a vintage eBay webshop! I mean the one with mustard and dark turqois, plus red lining.

So want that green leather biker jacket!

New black clutch

It was in sale at H&M, so I just needed to own it. Cheap and chic. In real it’s larger than you expect. And too bad you can’t see the beautiful croc-pattern that well.

Outfit shot & new bag!

februari 28, 2008

I wore jeans for a day, and because the outfit isn’t that special itself, I added a lot of accessories. I wore the second-hand bangles and button-up floral top for the first time.

Yesterday when I got home, there was a large package waiting for me. I finally recieved the Friis & Company bag and clutch I got for free with my year’s subsribtion to Grazia (Dutch weekly fashion mag). It looked sooooo much better in real! I expected it to be half the size! I thought there were made pictures to make something look better than in real…

Look! Dip-dye buttons! No, just kidding, but I do love the different tones of pink.

As you can see I lost one of the pins on my shoes, so I’m just ripping the other one off too.
