Hospital is a new concept store which offers several modern luxury labels for men and women, such as clothing from Viktor & Rolf, Sonia Rykiel, Marc Jacobs and Alexander McQueen, but also accessories from labels like AF Vandevorst and watches from Anonimo.

The complex, located in former horse stables, opened it’s doors in December 2008. Owner Jeroen Smeekens and architect Will Erens, have transformed a scrap metal dealer’s warehouse into this unique boutique, with an adjoining bar and restaurant called Glorious. In the store you can also find a beautiful restored vintage car, which is for sale as well and will be changed for another one every month. You can find Hospital at the Burburestraat in Antwerp.

A little while after we walked into the store for the second time, there was this amazing color and fantastically soft looking fabric that caught my eye in the clothing racks. As I should start looking for a new fall/winter jacket – last year’s one weighs a ton and is extremely hard to handle – and the Tiger Of Sweden jacket was screaming towards me, I tried it on. I closed the buttons and tied the waist belt, and couldn’t take it off for five minutes. Even though the price tag wasn’t that much compared to lots of other items in the store (the sales assistant wanted me to try on a €900 version of a similar jacket), it still was €390. It was worth it, as it was high quality, timeless & elegant, and definitely something you could wear till it’s ripped or have personally grown about three sizes, it just was still a lot of money to me. After doubting and doubting – and probably annoying everyone that was nearby about whether to buy it or not – I decided not to go for it, because of the amount.

Excuse me for not really having a picture taken, though you can spot in the racks on this picture. Just look for the perfect camel color and you’ll find it.

I fell in love with the heavy industrial lamps hanging above the counter.

This sleeve is so gorgeous! Again, it’s the reason why I bought it. Though Chopin isn’t bad either, of course. Not bad at all actually.
