Thrifted shoe bows

maart 21, 2008 |

I got all of these second-hand shoe bows at the thrift shop last Wednesday, for only €1. The shop owner actually wanted to wait with selling them till Carnaval (next February), but she just knew I wanted them so badly, she grabbed them from behind her desk and sold them to me.

Most are pairs, but some are very sadly alone. So I searched through my accessories, to find some friends, and actually found the same orange and white one, which I already bought several months ago.

Going to wear something white, possibly to a wedding? Wear the white bows on your favorite Sergio Rossi pumps:

Or do you want to put the contrast on a higher level? Wear the green ones with your favorite cognac platforms:

I would love to post more, but that would be a bit annoying, haha.

They are super super cute, I used to wear something like this in my hair when I was a child. I have to check eBay and etsy immediately, my shoes need some pimping!!!

1 euro?!? Lucky lucky lucky! Can barely buy a choclate bar with £1 these days…

@Selina: That would be a great idea too, but I don’t know this will work though. The clips really are for shoes, or at least leather, so I don’t think they will stay in.

These are so very very cute!!! How do you always score such good deals at the thrift store? :)

  14. Renée Sturme on maart 24, 2008 13:14

@Ilane: Cause I’m the only one who buys the accessories, haha ;) When you say ’second-hand’ people think “yikes, dirrrty”.
But too bad they don’t sell clothes…
