Floral love

oktober 31, 2007

Sorry for this worse picture, but I totally forgot to take one and it was already dark outside.  And when it’s dark outside I also can’t get a nice one inside. Actually it never works inside. Background is the print of the tunic I’m wearing.

Everyones coloring their hair brown these days, for winter, so/but I got it more blonde today. Blonde highlights plus some copper ones, but the copper ones got more brown. Oh well, they will be copper in a few weeks. By the way, you can’t see a difference from before on the pictures, but it’s really a few shades lighter!

Asos wanna-haves: Patent shoe boots

oktober 30, 2007

You just need to love these mink patent shoe boots. I am so willing to buy them, but I don’t have a credit card. I think it’s quite stupid you can only pay by credit card on ASOS. Shoes are €57.44 and also available in black. Heels are 10cm high.

Late, but still nice

oktober 29, 2007

I’m sorry I’m this late with Fashion Week reviews, but I wasn’t really around then and I haven’t had enough time to. Here is the first part of my Fashion Week faves.

Blumarine SS08 - September 26

Romantic, biker jackets, bright and shiny coloring (that sometimes looked cheap thanks to the combination), shorts, skirts, dresses, sporty, bit ethnic. Actually, there were a lot of styles, but these are just my favorites. So remember, this is really not how the whole collection looked like.

Etro SS08 - September 26

Etro, a collection to my heart. Eighties ethnic, bright colors, flowers, vintage looks.

Out at night

To me, this seems like a perfect outfit to go out with friends, dance, and have fun. A lovely present sequined dress, combined with a playful trilby, tan purse, patent black shoe boots and a warm grey knitted cardigan for your way home.

Dress, cardigan, trilby: FCUK
Purse, shoes: Asos

Colorloving

Childish glasses, necklaces and scarfs. Also really funny shoes I adore. Combined with less striking black tights and a Balenciaga-ish tight jacket. You just need to love these girls. Picture from Hoy Fashion.

My NYC adventure #6

Inside the Empire State Building and on top of it (86th floor). Wonderful view, but after 15 minutes I was already bored and wanted to go down.

Ground Zero, which is quite emotional to see. Picture taken at the World Financial Center (marmer and real palm trees). Poster of all the members of the fire-brigade who lost their lives at 9/11. In the middle to the left you can see a model from what’s coming at Ground Zero, 5 buildings, including one with a high pile. Under that one you can see two times the same building, just one day after each other. On the picture to the left the Dutch premier, Balkenende, was there (Dutch flag). On the ‘Public Parking’ picture you can see the parking rates. Want to park your car for one hour? $17 please.

Shopping @ H&M

oktober 26, 2007

My dad textmessaged me a little while ago if I wanted to go shopping. Ofcourse I wanted to. So we went to Roermond, both bought a book in a bookshop and after 10 minutes ’shopping’ he already needed to sit down on a terrace to get a drink and a snack. That’s what shopping means to him: Relaxing on terraces with a good beer. So after 1,5 hour, we went shopping - real shopping. For my dad we went to Different Corner, where we always go to when he needs new clothes. I told him what to try on, he did, he bought. As easy as it sounds. We/he got 3 things from Pepe Jeans: A blouse, cardigan and jeans. Plus a sweater from another brand. The total price for the 4 pieces was €320, so he got socks for free, lol. Because he doens’t buy clothes often, when we shop we also buy some more expensive clothes, with good quality. There’s no way I will let him ever shop without me.

Then we went further to get new boots, for me (the ones that were in my head for ever). We went to a shopping mall and I needed to use the restroom for a minute. When I got back he was already sitting down on a terrace, but I told him we would go for the boots first. So after we got the boots, we sat down and got a drink and a snack.

After finishing our snacks, we went to H&M. My dad told me to move quickly, because he hates standing and waiting there. So I did, got about 8 things to fit, and let him buy me the 6 things I wanted. So great, lol. Then we went back to the car, and he asked me if I wanted to get a drink again, but I think it was a joke.

The dark dress is very dark grey with a shade of green/blue, so not as black as it looks. I’m really in love with the grey cardigan, it’s probably my favorite item now. It’s really long, you could maybe even wear it as a dress. The yellow top is too short to wear it as a dress, too bad. The flowered/striped dress is actually a size L, but I just needed to have it. The book contains sewing techniques.

Gran’s and an interview

Sorry for not posting for three days, but I’ve been at my grandma and grandpa’s (not the ones I shop AT, but the ones I shop WITH). They don’t have a computer, so that’s why.

Last week, a girl asked me if I wanted to do a style-interview for her website and, ofcourse, I did. It’s in Dutch, if you want to read it you can do it here: Stijl interview met Renée, op Fashion-Goeroe.

Make grandpa’s blouse work

oktober 22, 2007

Today I tried to make the red checked (and oversized) blouse I got/took from my grandfather work. I think it went quite well, don’t you? My face looked worse, so that’s why theres a big cross on it. Pictures in our hallway are always bad, so I picked a picture I shot at Times Square as background. We had kind of a NYC reunion tonight; watch videos and pictures we had made and eat delicious brownies.

Fab-u-lous vintage styles

oktober 21, 2007

One of the best streetstyle pics I’ve ever seen. The girls don’t look that old, but already have a-ma-zing styles. The girl to the left fits perfectly in the See by Chloé collection and you want to put the other on a Harley Davidson. I love the way they combined the colors and can’t wait to find a brown leather bag like that! Picture from Hoy Fashion.

Kate Moss

I love the dress she designed together with Topshop and I love her haircut. She wore this dress at the Swarovski Fashion Rocks concert in London for The Prince’s Trust on October 18th. Pictures from I*Heart*That.

Beautiful brand: KG Shoes

oktober 20, 2007

Discovered the brand at ASOS, like many other. I immediately fell in love with their shoe designs. Expensive, but lovely to watch. Prices vary from €100 for simple ballerina’s to €280 for a pair of boots. I’m in love with the brown ankle boots, or actually, I’m in love with them all.

Yellow tights

oktober 19, 2007

“Look those tights…”, “Omg, she’s wearing yellow tights!?” Yes I am and I like it. Boring staring everyday-tshirt&jeans-people. By the way, finally a sunny day.
