At first I need to say I like her a lot, she has an amazing voice, but what is she wearing? I know short dresses and flower power prints are ‘it’ , but not in this way. The combination of her outfit is awful and very cheap. Yes, she has greats legs, that’s the only positive thing about this picture. She wore this outfit for the Brit Awards in London. The dress is by Milly ($350 at intermixonline.com). To me, she looks like a ho. What do you think?

Today I was in Rotterdam, for some cultural schoolthing. We visited a museum for twentieth century art and then we had a short break. The first thing we did was to search our favorite exclusive restaurant, called Mc Donalds (it’s just so delicious). After eating my McChicken Menu, we had like fourty minutes to shop. I scored this scarf at Men At Work (€7,95) and the headband at Only. The band costed €3,95 and thereto I also got this large textile pink bag, while I spent almost nothing. To me that’s kinda weird, because in my neighbourhood we only get this bag when we spend like a hundred euro’s at Only. Ofcourse it’s fine to me.. After our ’shopping’ we needed to go further and we all got a cheap rented bicycle. Everyone got a bright green one, I got a red one (yes, only me), just like the ugly duck from this fairytale. The guide showed us some architecture, what was really boring. After walking, standing still, and cycling all day I’m tired and wanna rest, but because my site is more important to me, I’m writing to you this post and maybe a second. At least I know I want to go back sometime, because Rotterdam also has my favorite store, called Episode (vintage) and a lot other cute stores.

One of my favorite things to do, is to watch streetstyle pictures. They are so inspiring to me, and sometimes I’m really surprised by some combi’s. The pictures below are some of my favorites. To the right of this page you can see a list of my favorite streetstyle blogs.

Kate Moss has them, Mischa Barton has them (first pic), Lindsay Lohan (third pic), every blogging fashionista has them, but I don’t. I’ve seen them a lot lately, and I really do like them. I know Ray-Ban and Marc Jacobs designed some of these, but to me those labels are a little bit too expensive. This retro style is amazing, they let me think of old American moviestars, I want them to! Where can you buy them? Please gimme some tips, webshops that ship to the Netherlands or something. Maybe you’ve seen them somewhere in a shop in Limburg (NL)?

I’ve seen them for a few times now, these ‘creations’ Fendi made. All I can say is they look awful, they look trashy, they look ridiculous, they look cheap, and further on.. How could he? What do you think? Are you gonna wear them? I think they need to be banned, get lost somewhere in space, just burry them. Fendi made some really nice shoes for this season, but I can’t call these things shoes..

You see them more often: rainbows. Actually, I like them a lot. They are childish, but in a good way. They give a personal touch to your outfit, at least till every one has them, but I don’t think that’s going to happen. Many people see only the child in it, I also see a fashion statement. The pictures below are all from asos.com, if you like them, just search for ‘rainbow’. What do you think?

Today in the spotlight: The wonderful bag-label Paul’s Boutique. I found these bags at asos.com. The bags are very coloured, with paisley-prints all over them. They are quite girlie and a little bit vintagelooking. The designer(s) use gold-details and many patches. I like the red one on the picture below much, it’s remarkable, original and is big. It’s also available in gold, silver, white, black and blue. The bags are often larger than you expect. For example I placed a picture of a model carrying the same bag as the picture to the left of it, only in a different colour. The gold ones are nice, but I would never buy them. I’ve seen and bought too much gold last year, for me it’s silver now. I think many fashiongirls can agree with me, we also saw a lot of silver on the catwalks, with the exeption of Elie Saab’s collection. The prices are mostly between €80-100 (at asos.com).

When you choose to buy one of these bags, I recommend to buy it at asos.com. The other site is much more expensive, prices vary from $107 to $165, for the same bag!

This week I’ve been to Amsterdam by train. It took me 2 hours to get there, but it was worth it. For the first time in my life I went to the Waterloopplein. Every monday till saturday there’s a quite big flea market. The people there sell beautiful vintage shoes, clothes, jewellery and many metal things like fabulous gold photo frames and pots. There are also some stands that sell new jewellery, bags and stuff like that. I bought myself some new stuff: a ‘maria’-necklace, new earrings with hearts on it and a very large checked red-white scarf. Then I bought a secondhand necklace with white big beads for only €1! Finally I bought a pair of Antonio Paolo vintage peeptoes with slingback. I bought them thinking they were black/dark grey, but actually they are very very dark blue. I think that’s only better, because I have too much black pumps. They have an amazing fit and my red toenails look awesome with them. I also wanted to go to the Albert Cuyp market, but I didn’t had enough time..
Next to the Waterloopplein is a big vintage store called Episode. I thought I was in heaven! Amazing leggings, T-shirts, jackets, sunglasses, bags, skirts, everything was amazing. I bought myself a legging with a cute print, an oversized top and a fabulous eighties jacket. For only €29. My boyfriend bought me amazing sunglasses at Episode, they were new, not vintage, but have a fabulous vintagelook.
After this vintage-heaven we had a big search for more shops like these, to the Nine Streets, but by the time we got there it was already closing-time. Maybe that’s a good thing, otherwise I would spend more money.
We searched for an Italian restaurant and found a cute little place. My tortellini was served by a real Italian and tasted yummie. After our break we went searching for Hotel Arena, where Natasha Bedingfield was going to perform. I had won tickets, what was the actual reason for me to go to Amsterdam. It was a great ending of the day, she sung really good. ‘Wild Horses’, my favorite song came by and I got a little bit emotional, because it means much to me. At the end girls were all ripping Natasha Bedingfield posters of the wall. However, you got them for free when you left, as many as you wanted. That was quite a laugh. After Natasha Bedingfield, back to my boyfriend’s place (2 hours in the train, again). We were home at 24:00 and ate delicious Ben&Jerry’s chocolate icecream. A great day!

I found this awful picture of Britney Spears on the net. She wore this outfit at the Millenium dance studios for her House of Blues Tour. I am really hoping this is for rehearsal, but though, if it is, it’s still quite awful, lets just say very awful. There are no stylists who would dress her like this, I think.. Is this for real? Could some one give me an answer?

This time I wanna pay attention to the shoe label Irregular Choice. I think they have absolutely fabulous shoes, a bit expensive, but fabulous though. They make me happy. Since a while they have their own webshop, http://irregularchoicestore.co.uk/, where you can buy these beauties. Just like the label says, the shoes are very irregular, you don’t see shoes like these often, I would say even not on catwalks. In my opinion the heels below are the most beautiful, but they also have enough flats. To me they aren’t very affordable, with prices like £60. I’m a cheap&chic-shopper, so I’ll be dreaming further.. Just take a look at these gorgeous cuties, called ‘Bam Bam’, ‘Bananarama’, etc.
